On arrival at The Chine whatever time of year of your visit you will immediately feel the influence of the beautiful gardens. Generous planters which are a colourful compliment all year round, decorate the hotel. Eighty seven guest rooms. All 87 rooms at The Chine are superbly well appointed, many with breathtaking sea views and balconies. All are en-suite and are equipped with hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, television with satellite channels and, of course, a courtesy tray. As well as a choice of standard or superior bedrooms, there are a number of different configurations so that individual family needs can be met wherever possible, interconnecting bedrooms, family suites and extra beds which can be put into the parent’s room. The Sea View restaurant’s AA Red Rosette for the quality of its food is matched only by its fantastic views, over the treetops and out to sea quite magical! Open for both lunch and dinner, this is one of the most charming and welcoming rooms in the hotel and its cosy cocktail bar is the perfect place for a tempting aperitif, or in the winter months, to savour that after-dinner liqueur by the fireside. With freshly caught fish, carefully selected cuts of meat and excellent vegetarian options using local produce when available, the Sea View’s mouth watering menu is accompanied by a superb wine list catering for every palate.

Relaxing Options…
The Chine is situated in three acres of mature gardens and water features. The gardens, on various levels, offer something for everyone a playhouse for the children or a quiet water feature for those needing a little tranquillity. During your stay enjoy a quiet stroll from the end of the hotel’s woodland path miles of golden sand are just two minutes walk away. The gardens are maintained beautifully and have many secluded areas where one can sit and relax with a book, a drink or just peacefully listen to the fountain and the birds in the pine trees above. The animated colours of the beautiful gardens will impress whatever time of year you visit. The gardens do of course also provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and private functions.
Relaxing Options…
The Chine’s leisure facilities easily reflect the standards set by the rest of the hotel. The truly beautiful Roman Spa, with its exceptional facilities, will contribute to y our feeling of well being during and equally importantly after your stay. Inside the spa is a magnificent 12 metre swimming pool set in cloisters alongside an eight person Jacuzzi and poolside sauna. There is a trymnasium with cardiovascular equipment and plenty of room for stretching and yoga. After an invigorating workout or sauna, a favourite relaxation for guests during the summer months is a gentle swim in the 13 metre outdoor pool or a dip in the deck top hot tub overlooking the gardens.

A31 through the forest. Pass Ringwood. Turn left at the Ashley Heath roundabout.(Sign posted Bournemouth A338). Proceed down the Ringwood/Bournemouth Spur road over the flyover onto the Wessex Way. Follow the signs for Bournemouth Town Centre/BIC.
Continue along the A338/Wessex Way until you reach St Pauls roundabout, (the name is on the roundabout), and take the first exit.
Follow St Pauls Road until you reach a further roundabout, and take the second exit, St Swithins Road: the signpost indicates East Cliff, Boscombe and Southbourne. This leads to St Swithins roundabout, at which you take the first exit (into Christchurch Road). Proceed along Christchurch Road, and pass through three sets of traffic lights. After the third set of traffic lights, take the first turning on the right: this is Boscombe Spa Road. Boscombe Spa Road bends sharply to the left and becomes Owls Road: at the bend, go straight over, continuing into Boscombe Spa Road.
The Chine is directly ahead of you. There is parking at the hotel and staff to help with your luggage.

The Chine has been host to many types of function over the years in either the Pineview suite which caters for parties of up to 130 or in the Garden Suite for a more intimate gathering of up to 50 guests. Celebrations include: birthdays, anniversaries and christenings.
The hotel is centrally located so those guests travelling from any direction can be assured of easy access. For those staying at the hotel there is parking and once inside the fun can begin unwind in the cocktail bar or the Roman Spa whichever takes your fancy!

The hotel can accommodate festivals in two of its function rooms and these are; The Seaview Restaurant, which can accommodate between 90 and 180 guests or the Pineview Suite which caters for the smaller lodge of between 80 and 90 guests.
There are two Ladies Festival packages that are on offer and these include: A superb four course dinner Friday in either function room depending on festival size.
Followed by the Chine disco after dinner dancing into the early hours! On Saturday, after a hearty full English breakfast the day is your own. Perhaps a stroll on the beach or a trip into Bournemouth town centre which is only a five minute drive for some retail therapy or to visit one or two of the many attractions which make the town so popular whatever time of year.
The banquet (from 6.00p.m.) is the highlight to any festival, and staff at the Chine know how to impress! Enjoy the seven course meal, which includes: starter, soup, and a fish course, sorbet, the main course, sweet and coffee.
There is also entertainment on Saturday as well however some festivals prefer to supply their own entertainment naturally a provision can be made for this. On Sunday after another super full English breakfast guests may depart or, depending on package, return to the hotel after an excursion for a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch.
There are naturally many other options which can be added to the package and one of the hotel’s function co ordinators will be only too pleased to discuss further. Lodge weekends are not available during school holidays or over Bank Holiday weekends.

The Pineview Suite This attractively furnished room, with stunning views over the mature pine garden, is totally self contained with the facilities of a private bar and can accommodate up to 130 guests for the wedding ceremony and 120 guests for the Wedding Breakfast, offering direct access to a private terrace, leading down to the lower lawns. An ornamental pond and water cascade provides an ideal backdrop for wedding photographs and drinks reception, weather permitting.
