The following information will help answer any queries you may have relating to The Haven.

Car Parking

  • 100 secure parking spaces available on site; CCTV and coded exit barrier.
  • Additional local free street parking

Bedroom Information

  • The room type stated within your confirmation letter expresses your stated preference of room. Where possible, we will always endeavour to allocate the room described but there may be circumstances when we will not be able to do so.
  • We guarantee rooms to be ready for check-in from 2pm.
  • All bedrooms within the hotel are en-suite and are equipped with hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, courtesy tray and television with various Freeview and Sky channels.

The Main Restaurant

  • Breakfast and dinner are served in The Sea View Restaurant. The table d’hôte dinner menu is changed on a daily basis to offer variety to our guests.
  • If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. A vegetarian option is always available on the menu.
  • Please note we operate a dress code in the Restaurant and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unsuitably dressed (see below).

La Roche

  • La Roche Restaurant serves an a la carte menu offering a fine dining experience at lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
  • Morning coffee is served between 10am – 12pm. Lunch is served between 12 – 3pm. A selection of snacks and light meals is offered between 12pm – 5pm and afternoon tea is also available, between 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
  • Advanced booking is strongly recommended as La Roche is very popular with both guests and local residents alike.
  • If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. A vegetarian option is always available on the menu.
  • Please note we operate a dress code in the Restaurant and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unsuitably dressed (see below).

Dressing for Dinner

  • We operate a dress code and reserve the right to refuse service to any persons unsuitably dressed. For example, attire such as untailored shorts, trainers and leisure suits, etc, will not be acceptable in the restaurant areas at dinner.
  • To ensure that we maintain a mutually enjoyable atmosphere in the restaurant we would request that, if casual clothes are worn, they are of smart appearance.

Room Service

  • A full hot and cold room service menu is available 24hrs a day.
  • Room service offers a full English breakfast from 7.30a.m. Monday to Friday or 8a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Continental breakfast service is available from 7 a.m. each day. Please note a room service charge of £3.00 for full English breakfast and £2.00 for Continental breakfast orders will be applied irrespective of the terms of your booking.

Smoking

  • Please note that smoking is permitted on the terraces only, all bedrooms and public areas within the hotel are non-smoking.

Checking Out

  • Check out time is 11a.m. unless agreed with hotel reception on your day of departure. When available, late check out will be charged at £10 per room, per hour after the 11a.m. standard checkout time. Late check out is not available during peak periods.
  • When required, night porters are able to check out guests between the hours of 11pm to 7am.

  • The Leisure Club and Spa contains the following facilities:

    • Gymnasium - with cardiovascular equipment

  • The Spa offers a wide range of beauty, aromatherapy and therapeutic treatments. Contact the Spa direct on 01202 707909 for further details and to arrange treatment times. Pre-booking is highly recommended.
  • Guests with children must be aware of age restrictions in place for health and safety:
    • Children under 7 years of age are not permitted to use the Jacuzzi
    • Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied in the pools at all times
    • Users of the gymnasium, hot tub and sauna must be over 16 years of age

Children's Information

  • All children’s rates are based on an accommodation and breakfast basis only. All other meals will be charged as taken. Children are welcome in all dining areas throughout the hotel.
  • Complimentary entertainment is organised during state school holidays at The Sandbanks and The Chine hotels. There are currently no plans to provide children’s activities at the Haven.
  • Little Rainbows, FJB’s Ofsted registered day nursery (located adjacent to The Sandbanks), has places which may, subject to availability, be pre-booked. The nursery is open Monday to Friday. Please call Little Rainbows direct on 01202 709427 for further information including charges.
  • Details of local accredited companies which provide babysitting services are available from reception. It is recommended that arrangements are made in advance. A baby listening facility is also available for guest use within the hotel.

Business Facilities

  • The hotel also offers conference and function facilities. The Purbeck Suite caters for parties of up to 150 guests. We will make every effort to make you aware when a function is taking place if we believe that it will affect your stay.
  • The dedicated Business Centre gives our business clients ideal surroundings and opportunities for meetings and training.
  • The Business Centre has 3 purpose built suites each comprising a main lecture room and 2 syndicate rooms.

Internet Access

  • The Haven offers complimentary wireless internet connection for residents, however a charge will be made for conference use. Please contact reception for access code.

Wedding Facilities

  • The Haven is licensed for civil weddings and has facilities for wedding parties from 10 to 170.
  • Wedding packages including room hire, toastmaster, champagne breakfasts and much more can be tailored to your requirements. Simply contact the wedding co-ordinator at The Haven direct for more information.

Functions

  • As noted above, the hotel caters for functions of various different types throughout the year. During these times there will be an increased amount of activity throughout the hotel and some bedrooms may be affected by function noise. If you feel this may affect the enjoyment of your stay please contact us and we will be able to confirm if a function is due to take place during your time with us and the areas of the hotel that will be affected.

Additional Information

  • Please make the hotel or reservations aware if you are expecting visitors to the hotel, including babysitters. All visitors will need to sign in at reception due to health and safety regulations.
