The following information will help answer any queries you may have relating to The Sandbanks.

Car Parking

  • 112 secure parking spaces available on site; CCTV and coded exit barrier.

Bedroom Information

  • The room type stated within your confirmation letter expresses your stated preference of room. Where possible, we will always endeavour to allocate the room described but there may be circumstances when we will not be able to do so.
  • We guarantee rooms to be ready for check-in from 2pm.
  • All bedrooms within the hotel are en-suite with hairdryer, trouser press, courtesy tray, direct dial telephone and television with various freeview and Sky channels. Some rooms contain a refrigerator; where this facility is not in situ, arrangements can be made in advance for a refrigerator to be supplied subject to a small charge.

Sea View Restaurant

  • Breakfast and dinner are served in The Sea View restaurant. The table d'hôte dinner menu is changed on a daily basis to offer variety to our guests. Should the restaurant be fully booked for a private function, dinner is served in La Mer.
  • Tables are not available for pre-booking as seating is arranged on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
  • If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. A vegetarian option is always available in the table d’hôte menu.
  • Please note we operate a dress code in the Restaurant and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unsuitably dressed (see below).

Sandbanks Brasserie

  • Sandbanks Brasserie serves an a la carte menu during lunch and dinner. The Sandbanks Brasserie is closed on Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Sandbanks Brasserie is a popular location for private functions as well as guest dining, please contact us if you specifically require dining in Sandbanks Brasserie before your stay to avoid disappointment.
  • If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. A vegetarian option is always available in the menu.
  • Please note that we operate a dress code in the Restaurant and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unsuitably dressed (see below).

Dressing for Dinner

  • We operate a dress code and reserve the right to refuse service to any persons unsuitably dressed. For example, attire such as untailored shorts, trainers and leisure suits, etc, will not be acceptable in the restaurant areas at dinner.
  • To ensure that we maintain a mutually enjoyable atmosphere in the restaurant we would request that, if casual clothes are worn, they are of smart appearance.

Children's Information

  • High tea is served either in the “Surf Shack” or La Mer restaurant between 5pm – 6pm.
  • On dinner, accommodation and breakfast terms a supplement of £4.25 per child, per day is charged for children’s evening meals if taken in the main restaurant when the children’s restaurant facilities are available.
  • All year round activity areas include the outdoor pirate ship and indoor soft playroom “Pirates’ Playtime”.
  • Complimentary entertainment and the “Activity Shack” are available and organised during state school holidays for hotel guests. Guests should be aware that these are supervised activities only and should not be considered as a child minding facility, as children are free to come and go as they wish. Children under 4 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Other activities may be in place throughout the year, please check with Reception for further information.
  • Little Rainbows, FJB’s Ofsted registered day nursery (located adjacent to The Sandbanks), has places which may, subject to availability, be pre-booked. The nursery is open Monday to Friday. Please call Little Rainbows direct on 01202 709427 for further information including charges.
  • Details of local accredited companies which provide babysitting services are available from reception. It is recommended that arrangements are made in advance. A baby listening facility is also available for guest use within the hotel.

Smoking

  • As from 1st July 2007 smoking is allowed on the terraces only.

Room Service

  • A full hot and cold room service menu is available 24hrs a day.
  • Room service offers a full English breakfast from 7.30am Monday to Friday or 8am Saturday and Sunday. Continental breakfast service is available from 3am each day. Please note a room service charge of £4.00 for breakfast orders will be applied irrespective of the terms of your booking.

Checking Out

  • Check out time is 11am unless agreed with hotel reception on your day of departure. When available, late check out will be charged at £10 per room, per hour after the 11am standard checkout time. Late check out is not available during peak periods.
  • When required, night porters are able to check out guests between the hours of 11pm to 7am.

Leisure and The Oasis Spa

  • Leisure facilities at The Sandbanks consists of the following:
    • 10m Indoor Pool
    • Poolside Sauna & Steam Room
    • Trymnasium
  • The Oasis Spa offers a wide range of beauty, aromatherapy and therapeutic treatments. Please contact The Oasis direct on 01202 609 111 for further details and to arrange treatment times. Pre-booking is highly recommended.

Business Facilities

  • The hotel also offers conference and function facilities. The Peninsula Suite caters for parties of up to 170 guests. We will make every effort to make you aware when a function is taking place if we believe that it will affect your stay.
  • Our dedicated business facilities give business clients ideal surroundings and opportunities for meetings and training.
  • The business facilities comprise 6 meeting rooms along with 5 syndicate rooms. The Peninsula Suite is also available for formal business meetings.

Internet Access

  • The Sandbanks offers complimentary wireless internet connection for residents, however a charge will be made for conference use. Please contact reception for access code.

Wedding Facilities

  • The Sandbanks is licensed for civil weddings and has facilities for wedding parties from 10 to 170.
  • Wedding packages including room hire, toastmaster, champagne breakfasts and much more can be tailored to your requirements. Simply contact the wedding co-ordinator at The Sandbanks direct for more information.

Functions

  • As noted above, the hotel caters for functions of various different types throughout the year. During these times there will be an increased amount of activity throughout the hotel and some bedrooms may be affected by function noise. If you feel this may affect the enjoyment of your stay please contact us and we will be able to confirm if a function is due to take place during your time with us and the areas of the hotel that will be affected.

Additional Information
