Guest Services Assistants

The 4* Haven Hotel on the gorgeous Sandbanks peninsula, is looking to recruit experienced Guest Services Assistants to join their teams. We are looking for the best in customer service, if you’ve got experience working in hotels in customer facing roles and you are professional and confident then this could be for you.

Working in stunning surroundings based on the exclusive Sandbanks Peninsula, this role is to oversee the arrival and departure of guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met during their stay.

The successful candidate would be required to work to a rota which will include weekends, evenings and bank holidays on rotation, on a Variable contract.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • To be the first contact for arriving guests and be courteous to the guests at all times ensuring they are made to feel welcome, providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Understand and be aware of all hotel special offers and rates. Understanding the hotels facilities, room types and food and beverage operation.
  • Provide assistance to arriving and departing guests, explaining room features and hotel amenities showing guests where they are.
  • To ensure all public areas are clean to the hotel standards.
  • To set up for all functions as required.
  • To assist as Food & Beverage Assistant when requested.
  • To demonstrate excellent and effective interpersonal communication skills.

Candidate Specification:

  • Previous experience, ideally in a hotel or hospitality background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be IT literate.
  • A real passion for providing excellent customer services is a must.
  • A great telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of a guest booking system is a benefit although training will be provided.
